Meet Tom Huijgen, one of the star actors of Campus Ninja 4. As the main antagonist he plots to do evil stuff, and lots of it! Tom is no stranger to Campus Ninja. Two years ago, he played one of the bad guys of Campus Ninja 3, plotting to bully nerds, and lots of ‘em!

Although another bad guy role might seem over the top for most, his name was top of the list. As if he was born for evil. Character-wise, of course. In the words of director Emile van Wijk: “Dude, you’re so evil”.

Besides the evil-genes, his second-Dan black belt in Jiu Jitsu, combined with a solid background in Karate, make Tom a fearful opponent and really brings out the power and technique one might expect in an evil ninja overlord. We asked him a few questions about his experiences with filming Campus Ninja and his view on the whole Campus Ninja- thingy.

Tom, what were your thoughts when the Campus Ninja crew asked you for the main antagonist role?

I’m playing the bad guy again? Do I really look that evil? Apparently! But yeah, it was cool to have the chance to be a part of this project and I really enjoyed playing a part in this new chapter of the Campus Ninja movies.

How do you feel about being asked to play bad guys all the time?

Well, they say girls fancy bad guys…

What scene did you like the most to film, and why? (And which one did you dislike the most…?)

I like fighting scenes! So the epic battle at the end was the most fun. I didn’t like the ending though… [no spoilers ] The scene I disliked most would be the break-out from the ninja-laboratory because it required me to be tied up to a rack for about an hour before the filming would actually commence.

As a closing question, what do you think people like best about Campus Ninja 4?

That’s a hard question, considering I wasn’t present in the filming of half the scenes. I’m hoping the action scenes will deliver well on tape. Oh, and of course, the ‘making of’ might as well become the cherry on top!
